The back in 2015 by DICE released Battlefront 1 was not only highly anticipated but also got a ton of sales, making it predictable that there will be a sequel in the make. Still, some people were a bit let down by the game because of the lack of content, repetitive gameplay, and some bland maps. Another big let-down was the missing campaign – a staple for almost every AAA shooter game these days. Fortunately, it has been confirmed early on that Star Wars Battlefront 2 will have a single-player campaign(!).
EA has set out to make a bigger and also better sequel with Battlefront 2 and we have all sorts of new pieces of information about the sequel via the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 panel at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida. First off, DICE has confirmed that the story in Star Wars Battlefront 2 is canon, meaning this all happened in the universe of the movies and current books. Yep, you better believe it.
The panel started by showing off the game’s story which is set at the end of Return of the Jedi. You’ll play as the leader of an elite group of stormtroopers called Inferno Squadron who witness the destruction of the Death Star. Your father was a high-ranking officer on the Death Star 2, who died aboard when it blew up.
