Many of you guys probably know Telltale Games; mostly because of their riveting Point-and-Click Adventures like “Walking Dead” or “Borderlands”. They even made a Point-and-Click Adventure out of “Minecraft”! How crazy is that?! Now, we already know for some time that Telltale is working on a new Game about a group of Fighters that are defending earth from enemies of outer space: Guardians of the Galaxy. The first part of it will be released tomorrow. For people, who already want to see some in-game action, a trailer has been released and it’s ready for you to enjoy (that sounded weird). It’s an extension of the announcement trailer that Telltale put out in March, with a more specific focus on the first episode, “Tangled Up in Blue.”
Thanos gets it
Thanos features prominently in the trailer, but the fact that the Guardians are throwing down with him in the very first episode hints at a bait-and-switch—as does the announcement that came with it: “In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.”
So, probably, there will be an even bigger and mightier boss waiting for them at the end of the last episode. But it’s just a theory.
No original voices
One other point to be aware of, is: Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy will not feature the voices and/or likenesses of the movie cast. And even though they don’t have the marquee names, the actual cast is definitely credible and you will mostly get used to them pretty well:
- Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series) as Star-Lord
- Emily O’Brien (The Young and the Restless, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor) as Gamora
- Nolan North (the Uncharted series, Pretty Little Liars) as Rocket
- Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) as Drax
- Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us, League of Legends) as Groot
